With over 150+ top level colleges and some of the largest clubs in the country rowing with BAT Logic products daily, we wanted to enhance the service and accessibility of our brands on the ground in the USA. Giving you a face to the names in other words, or more accurately; a pair of calloused hands that look like yours, a wealth of experience and a user of the products himself to ensure you get the most out of your kit.

Having spent over half of his life devoted to the sport, Nick Dawe is a passionate coach and rower first and foremost. As an athlete, Nick has twice competed on the USA Senior National Team, rowed in the top lightweight 8 at Dartmouth College as well as found success with his rowing career at the Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club, Dartmouth College and the New York Athletic Club. He has earned gold medals at the USRowing Youth National Championship, USRowing Elite & Club National Championships, the Royal Canadian Henley, and the Head of the Charles.

As a coach, Nick has served on the USA Under 23 National Team staff and Head Coach at the New York Athletic Club as well as assistant positions at Columbia University, Fordham University, and the Newport Aquatic Center. Collectively his crews have earned 60+ USRowing National Championship Medals, the Club Nationals overall men’s team national title twice, Ten Royal Canadian Henley gold medals & the Team Efficiency Trophy, plus two Head of the Charles golds, and several medals at the IRA National Championship and Dad Vail Regattas.

This broad spread of racing, training and coaching will be an absolute asset to us in building relationships, spreading product awareness and developing equipment.

From Nick: “My main goal in coaching is to develop athletes to reach and go beyond their goals. In the USA I have the opportunity as a High Performance Club coach to develop top rowers from across our country. I see my role with BAT Logic as one more opportunity to help rowers and their coaches provide the best possible equipment for optimal performance and preventing injury. I have used the BAT QuickRelease System as both an athlete and coach. In my 15+ years of training, I have never rowed with more something that I could instantly feel the improved effect on my own training.”

Nick as a coach: “Utilizing the system for one of my single scullers it clearly had a significant impact on his preparation for, and winning, the USA Under-23 World Championship Trials. Switching over to the BAT system he could instantly feel a positive difference in his connection that helped improve his ability.”

We are grateful to be able to work with such inspiring rowing personalities everyday and know Nick will help our most important assets, our customers (you guys) , immensely.

Happy rowing.

It appears almost certain that the Tokyo Olympic Games will be postponed. We would like to extend our encouragement to Rowers at all levels that have had their respective competitions and training cut short. We hope this clip of the GB Men’s four Rio Olympic win, reminds you all of the amazing things we as Rowing lovers have to look forward to once these hard times are overcome.
